Wedding

 

Last two weeks I attended two weddings of two of my beloved friends: Gülsah and Isil. Here I am in Nazilli at Gülsah's wedding with my bff Cemre. From there we went to Kusadasi for a day away from the city, where I bought a gorgeous bag I'll show later ;)

Son iki hafta iki düğüne katıldım. Çok sevdiğim iki arkadaşım Gülşah Nazilli'de ve Işıl ise İstanbul'da evlendiler. İnşallah eşleriyle çok mutlu olurlar. Burada Nazilli'de Gülşah'ın düğünündeyim. Düğünden sonra Cemre'yle Kuşadası'na kaçtık :) Sadece bir haftasonu da olsa İstanbul'un keşmekeşinden uzaklaşmak iyi geliyor.

Here I am relaxing in and out and about of the mall Palladium. These days I'm in love with long skirts which I hated for years :) Fashion takes you to roads you can never imagine!

Lace'n Leopard

The september has arrived. The fall is my favorite time of the year. I love wearing trenchcoats and scarves pairing with skinny jeans or a mini skirt and tights, but we still have time for them, it's still summer in lovely Istanbul ;)  I bought this leopard gray and black skirt in Atlas Passage two years ago, yet it's still fabulous. And these Elle wedges, ah *sigh* I saw them when I was looking for a pair of chic black wedges, and it was love at first sight! Unfortunately, I can't say they are comfy.

Bu leopar desenli, siyah-gri eteği Atlas Pasajı'ndan aldım, iki yıl oldu ama hala hastasıyım :) Hele bu Elle ayakkabılar! Yaz başından beri siyah, rahat bir çift apartman topuklu ayakkabı arıyordum, bunları gördüğümde aşık oldum! Çok şık, ama pek rahat olduğunu söyleyemem ne yazık ki.

White Lies

Last night I was out with my sister and friends. While we were hanging out on Bagdat Avenue on the first day of the Candy Fest, I was sporting this plain white jumpsuit - one of my favorite items of this summer.

Taksim!

Taksim is by far my favorite place in Istanbul. It's always hectic and crowded, but I love all the colors on people and around, people with original styles, various languages you can hear while walking 'cause it's a huge tourist attaction. There are also these passage bazaars where I used to visit frequently when I was a student, as you can find crazy outfits, shoes and accessories at very reasonable prices, and I still go have a walk around in my favorite bazaars, which are Atlas and Halep, to find pretty clothes and original jewelry. On this picture, I am at the balcony of Nosta Café in the newly opened mall - Demirören, wearing my favorite pants! Favorite pants in the favorite spot!

Taksim! İstanbul'un en sevdiğim yeri. Arkadaşlarımla mı buluşacağım: "2.00'de Burger King'in önünde!" Kızlarla mojito gecesi yapacaksak, tek adresimiz Asmalımescit'teki Corner. Sabaha kadar dans edeceksek, yerli ve yabancı pop Çınaraltı'nda. Tabii bir de pasajlar var, en sevdiklerim Atlas ve Halep. Buralara özellikle öğrenciyken çok gelirdim, o zamanki tarzıma daha çok hitap ediyordu, ha bir de cebimizde beş kuruş  yoktu :) Yine de hala zaman zaman uğrar, sevimli giysiler ve orijinal takılar bulurum. Bu fotoğrafta yeni açılan Demirören'de bulunan Nosta Café'nin balkonundayım. Demirören hakkındaki tartışmalar devam ededursun, bu balkondan İstiklal'i izlemek paha biçilemez, üstelik fotoğraf çekmek için de harika!

Saturday DIY: Gold and silver chain bracelet

This summer I'm obsessed with chains, beads and friendship bracelets. Inspired from the beautiful bracelet above from the Giles S/S '11 collection, I made my own gold-and-silver chain bracelet. It's very easy to make: You just need various sizes of silver and gold colored chains, a few clips and multihole chain holder - I used a 5-hole holder - and pliers. Here's how it's made:

Cut the chains in the length that suits your wrist and attach them to the holders using clips in the size order you want:

Next, attach the clamp - or whatever it's called - using clips:

That's it!

Easy, yet gorgeous!
